I often end up having some sort of conversation with some highly religious person at events. I am a strong believer of respecting others religions, and I think it is something personal, that is no one else's business. So I always answer honest and take in their opinion, even when it is embarrassingly obvious that they either want me to change my opinion on a God (or lack of one), not accepting that I do not believe or just to keep the discussion going, not respecting my opinions. All I want is to yell bullshit (not at their faith, but the lack of respect going both ways), and get up and leave, because I am so tired of having the same conversations with people. But I am to socially awkward and too polite to do anything about it. I feel trapped every time someone starts talking religion. I am sorry, I just do not want to talk about what you think is more true, religion or science, if you cannot respect my opinion and only tell me I do not know the truth, then you cannot except me to care about our conversation enough to invest my time in it...
