Take it off your chest...

I got terminated from the only real job I've ever had. I was there for 5 years, almost 6. My husband's still working there... I couldn't be happier that I'm no longer there. I couldn't take the harassment and laziness of my coworkers. I've always joked about able bodied individuals who are "on the system", but now I'm on it. We get assistance with food, heat, rent, and medical. I am also, however, using this program the way it was intended. When I was 17, I made a poor decision that led me to becoming a mother, the best thing that ever happened to me. I'd left high school to care for my son. I am currently studying for my ged, the test is Friday. After I obtain my ged, I begin substance abuse counseling certification classes. I can't wait to help people. I won't be on the system long. Only enough to take my life to a level where my family is self sufficient.

  • Good for you girl! I really hope things work out great for you. If it means anything a complete stranger(aka me) is cheering you on! :D

  • You will set the example for your kid. I hope they see your accomplishments and learn to finish school, not "experiment" with substances, and make good healthy relationships. I hope you become something you can be proud of despite a rough start.
