I gave my autistic son up for adoption. 1) It was my first child and I already had no idea what I was doing 2) I was too overwhelmed and worried for the future 3) I couldn't afford all the costs of therapy and medication to control the child
Hopefully he gets the help that he needs, its better than you gave him up to people who might have more experience to help than being neglectful or abusive to him. The right help, medication, and schools go along way to helping kids with autism and if you can't afford it, what else can you do?
That's alright as long as you do the best you can for him
