I was deployed for 8 months in Afghanistan. I've been back for more than a year now and still haven't told anyone about the horrible things i did and had seen.
A good friend of mine was also there - he kept it for himself almost a year - he thought he could deal with it, playing the strong man. Then he broke ... - he said to me, that he now knows that there is no way around a therapy. For sure , i have no idea if this is anyway related to you case. Most of the times a therapy is always a good idea (even when you had way less shit in your life as a war)
I feel your pain brother. Some days are harder then others but its more painful to talk then it is to keep it inside. But the pain of talking leads to the process of feeling better.
