I'm Catholic but sometimes I think that the church intervenes to much on the society. I just think that if there is no religion the world will be a better place but I don't want to lose my religion because I still believe in God.
Religion and morality are too very different things that have no bearing on one another. I am agnostic, and i believe that most likely the universe was created naturally, not through divine guidance. But I do have a moral compass, I have actually devoted my life to helping people. On the other side of the coin, being religious does not make you a better or more moral person. It all boils down to what you believe in your heart. Your relationship with god is a personal one. You don't need the church to be a good person and love god. I abhor the churches actions, the hate and suffering it has visited upon us under the guise of love and peace. But This new Pope Francis may have what it takes to right centuries of wrongs. Have faith. Faith in yourself and God. That is all that matters.
What if I told u that u dont need a religion to believe in God? :)
