Growing up most of my friends were white including my best friends. Now that I think about it, my old neighborhood of about 20 houses consisted of hispanic families, caucasian families, african american families, asian families, and Russian families. All of us children on our street would play together everyday after school until sunset. We would play basketball, tag, catch, hide and seek and everything else kids play. We all got along great and as the only only child of the bunch I especially enjoyed hanging out with them. There's something I realize now that is an indication on how fucked up society currently is. Back then I didn't see race. I didn't think anything of it. It never even crossed my mind. Even with different skin tones, eye colors, hair colors, ect I never saw anyone as being different from me. Now a days society wants to stereotype and label everyone by race, religion, ect and it sucks. We are all people and we are all equal. We shouldn't form opinions about others based off anything but personality and compatibility. I never saw anything wrong with those other children being different from me and honestly I wish everyone else could see as good as me.
