i wish our company has managers who mind their own business... not to mingle in our private life..
Somewhat true to the other commenter. I think managers are just trying to get a feel of who you REALLY are, not who you represent yourself to be, and any crisis he/she should watch out for or be careful of. Say if you have depression and you didn't mention that in the interview (I'd imagine you wouldn't usually) and suddenly one day you relapse and you can't work and you're at the point of attempting suicide, he/she would have no idea and wouldn't be able to help you. I'm sorry if this sounds rude but managers don't just care if you show up to work, they care about you, they really do.
